Unlike systems designed for hydraulic steering, this unit creates a fully isolated autopilot steering circuit alongside your existing mechanical setup — keeping autopilot control completely separate from your primary helm. The package includes a self-contained hydraulic ram, reversing pump, and fluid reservoir, delivering reliable hands-free steering on larger coastal and offshore boats.
