ACR ResQLink AIS GPS Personal Location Beacon PLB-450 w/AIS & RLS
The ACR ResQLink AIS PLB-450 is the world's first Personal Locator Beacon to combine AIS (Automatic Identification System), NFC (Near Field Communication), and Cospas-Sarsat 406 MHz satellite distress signaling in a single compact unit. GNSS positioning via GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS delivers location accuracy within 100 meters, while simultaneous AIS broadcasts alert nearby vessels with AIS transponders — speeding local rescue response independent of satellite infrastructure. NFC connectivity lets users access beacon data directly from a smartphone via the ACR Product App, including battery status, self-test history, and GNSS test records. A 121.5 MHz homing signal, white visible strobe, and infrared strobe give arriving search-and-rescue teams multiple ways to zero in on the beacon in low-visibility or nighttime conditions.
Important: Register Your Beacon Before You Head Out
This is a 406 MHz emergency beacon. U.S. federal regulations require it to be registered with NOAA before use — and it is free.
Register online at beaconregistration.noaa.gov (fastest method). Registration links your beacon's unique ID to you, your vessel, and your emergency contacts so the Coast Guard and search-and-rescue teams can respond faster if it is ever activated.
Registration is the owner's responsibility.
