The Ocean Signal SafeSea S100 is an IMO SOLAS-compliant Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) built for liferaft and survival craft locating operations. In standby mode it monitors continuously, then automatically responds when swept by any nearby vessel's X-Band radar — returning a line of dots on that ship's display to give rescuers a direct bearing to the survival craft. Activation controls mirror those of the SafeSea E100 EPIRB, so even inexperienced operators can deploy it quickly. The S100 ships complete with a telescopic pole and storage bracket, ready for liferaft installation.

Important: Register Your Beacon Before You Head Out

This is a 406 MHz emergency beacon. U.S. federal regulations require it to be registered with NOAA before use — and it is free.

Register online at beaconregistration.noaa.gov (fastest method). Registration links your beacon's unique ID to you, your vessel, and your emergency contacts, so the Coast Guard and search-and-rescue teams can respond faster if it is ever activated.

Registration is the owner's responsibility and is not completed on your behalf at point of sale.
