ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB Survival Kit
Important: Register Your Beacon Before You Head Out
This is a 406 MHz emergency beacon. U.S. federal regulations require it to be registered with NOAA before use — and it is free.
Register online at beaconregistration.noaa.gov (fastest method). Registration links your beacon's unique ID to you, your vessel, and your emergency contacts, so the Coast Guard and search-and-rescue teams can respond faster if it is ever activated.
Registration is the owner's responsibility.
The ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB Survival Kit brings together a Category 2 GPS AIS EPIRB and a curated set of survival accessories in one ready-to-deploy package. Designed for offshore sailors, bluewater anglers, and coastal cruisers, this kit pairs 406 MHz Cospas-Sarsat satellite distress signaling with AIS broadcast capability, Return Link Service confirmation, and a buoyant RapidDitch Express Bag that organizes and floats up to 15 lbs of gear.
GlobalFix V5 Cat 2 GPS AIS EPIRB
When activated, the GlobalFix V5 simultaneously transmits a 406 MHz emergency signal to the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite rescue network and broadcasts an AIS safety message on VHF frequencies, making the vessel's position visible to any nearby AIS-equipped boat immediately. Return Link Service (RLS) technology provides on-device visual confirmation that the distress message has been received by the satellite system. A 121.5 MHz homing signal, plus both visible and infrared strobe lights, assist search-and-rescue teams in locating survivors at night or in reduced visibility. Near Field Communication (NFC) support lets users monitor EPIRB status through a smartphone app.
RapidDitch Express Bag
The water-resistant, reflective RapidDitch Express Bag is constructed to organize survival essentials using integrated pockets, tethers, and loops. Its buoyant design keeps the loaded bag afloat with up to 15 lbs of contents. The shoulder strap detaches and converts into two 4-foot safety harnesses that clip to a life jacket, keeping crew members connected while in the water.
HemiLight 3 — Automatic Survivor Locator Light
The ACR HemiLight 3 is a compact, automatic flashing survival light that attaches to nearly any life jacket style with a straightforward installation. Smaller in profile than many comparable approved lights, it activates automatically on water contact to aid rescuers in locating survivors.
