The Garmin Shadow Drive adds patented override capability to compatible GHP autopilot systems, automatically cutting autopilot engagement the instant the helm is moved. No manual switch-off required — the system detects steering input and steps aside, keeping the helmsman in uninterrupted control. Standard 1/4" Female NPT fittings make installation straightforward on hydraulic steering setups.
