The Raymarine P79 is an in-hull transducer designed for fiberglass monohull vessels, featuring an adjustable base that accommodates hull deadrise angles up to 22° to keep the sonar beam vertically oriented for reliable depth accuracy. Rather than a conventional puck-style mount, the P79 uses a bonded base filled with liquid — the transducer element then twist-locks into place, allowing sound waves to travel efficiently through the liquid medium for improved signal performance.
