The Raymarine ECI-100 Universal Engine & Control Interface bridges engine instrumentation and drive-by-wire steering with Raymarine autopilot and navigation systems through a single, isolated CAN Bus connection. Compatible with Raymarine multifunction displays running LightHouse v8 or later — from the compact aSeries to the flagship gS Series — the ECI-100 eliminates the need for separate engine and autopilot gateways while bringing Evolution 9-axis sensor and adaptive autopilot control to drive-by-wire propulsion systems. Engine data, fuel consumption, alarms, and full autopilot control are accessible on-screen or via Raymarine mobile apps on a smartphone or tablet.
The ECI-100 connects directly to the industry-standard NMEA 2000 or SAE J1939 Engine Data Bus (SAE: Society of Automotive Engineers standard) used by major marine engine manufacturers including Volvo Penta, Yamaha Marine (Command Link Plus only), Caterpillar, and Yanmar Marine. An industry-standard DeviceNet port connects to manufacturer-specific CAN bus cabling, while the NMEA 2000 side uses the SeaTalkng cabling system. Each isolated port is independently powered for reliable, interference-free operation between navigation electronics and engine systems.
