The Slammer IV 8500HS is built for anglers who need a high-speed saltwater spinning reel that can take sustained punishment without losing performance. At this size, the reel features a manual bail trip, an IPX6-sealed body and spool, and a redesigned Slammer drag system engineered for a wider usable range, better sealing, and bearing-supported smoothness.
