The patented swivel base rotates freely under side load, letting the rod tip follow the fish, eliminating sheared pins, and preventing line fraying caused by the line streaming sideways over the roller tip rather than through it. When paired with straight-butt rods, the holder functions as a conventional flush mount, and rotation torque is fully adjustable via two nylon drag washers and a 1/2" stainless steel lock nut at the base.
