The Garmin GNX Wireless Sail Pack 52 bundles four dedicated sailing instruments into one plug-and-play NMEA 2000 system. The GNX Wind instrument, GNX 20 marine instrument, gWind Wireless 2 transducer, and Airmar DST810 thru-hull smart transducer work together to deliver real-time wind, depth, speed, and attitude data — all without running wires through the mast.
GNX Wind Instrument
A glass-bonded backlit monochrome LCD with customizable backlight colors presents two simultaneous data fields alongside a digital wind rose. Over NMEA 2000, the instrument displays true and apparent wind, steering guidance, boat speed, and more than 15 additional marine parameters. Daytime power draw is 350 mW with no backlight; nighttime draw rises to 400 mW at mid-level backlight. Wind data can also be streamed wirelessly to a compatible quatix 3 GPS marine smartwatch via ANT technology.
gWind Wireless 2 Transducer
By transmitting via ANT directly to the GNX Wind or a compatible Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter, the gWind Wireless 2 eliminates mast wiring on masts up to 50 feet. Nexus twin-fin technology paired with a 3-bladed propeller delivers accurate wind speed and stable wind angle readings, including in light-air conditions.
GNX 20 Marine Instrument
The GNX 20 uses a glass-bonded display with an anti-glare lens coating, rendering black digits on a white or color background for strong readability in all light conditions. Digit height scales to 36 mm, and the instrument taps into 50-plus marine and boat parameters over NMEA 2000 — including water depth, speed through water, and water temperature. Five display configurations (single, dual, triple function, gauge, and graph) support both sailboat and powerboat profiles. Power consumption is 25 mA / 350 mW during the day with no backlight and 400 mW at night at mid-level backlight.
Airmar DST810 Thru-Hull Smart Transducer
This multisensor thru-hull transducer measures depth, speed, and temperature while also providing heel/trim and pitch/roll attitude inputs to the NMEA 2000 network and GNX 20. Depth range reaches 330 feet, water speed is output at 5 Hz, and the unit operates at 235 kHz with a fan-shaped 10×44-degree beamwidth. Bluetooth connectivity allows calibration through Airmar's Cast app, and advanced speed calibration accommodates multiple heel angles and speeds.
