The Garmin GNX Wireless Sail Pack 52 brings together four purpose-built components — the GNX Wind instrument, GNX 20 marine instrument, gWind Wireless 2 transducer, and Airmar DST810 thru-hull smart transducer — into a single, cohesive NMEA 2000 sailing system. Wireless mast wiring elimination, attitude sensing, and plug-and-play connectivity make this pack a practical choice for sailors who want reliable wind and water data without complex installation.
GNX Wind Instrument
The GNX Wind delivers wind data through a glass-bonded backlit monochrome LCD display with customizable backlight colors. It connects via NMEA 2000 to simultaneously show two data fields and a digital wind rose, displaying true and apparent wind, steering guidance, boat speed, and more than 15 marine parameters. Power draw is 350 mW in daylight (no backlight) and 400 mW at night (mid-level backlight). The instrument also streams wind data wirelessly to a compatible quatix 3 GPS marine smartwatch via ANT technology.
gWind Wireless 2 Transducer
The gWind Wireless 2 removes the need to run wires through masts up to 50 feet by transmitting accurate wind signals via ANT directly to a GNX Wind instrument or compatible Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter. It uses Nexus twin-fin technology paired with a 3-bladed propeller for precise wind speed and stable wind angle readings, especially in light air.
GNX 20 Marine Instrument
The GNX 20 features a glass-bonded display with anti-glare lens coating, showing black digits on a white or color background for strong readability day and night. High-contrast digits scale up to 36 mm, and the instrument accesses 50-plus marine and boat parameters over NMEA 2000, including water depth, boat speed through water, and water temperature. Five display configurations cover single, dual, and triple function plus gauge and graph modes for sailboat or powerboat profiles. Power consumption is 25 mA / 350 mW daytime with no backlight required, and 400 mW at night with a mid-level backlight.
Airmar DST810 Thru-Hull Smart Transducer
The DST810 is a multisensor thru-hull transducer that combines depth, speed, and temperature measurement with attitude sensing for heel/trim and pitch/roll inputs delivered to the NMEA 2000 network and GNX 20. It reads depths to 330 feet, outputs water speed at 5 Hz, and operates at 235 kHz with a fan-shaped beamwidth of 10x44 degrees. Bluetooth connectivity allows DST810 calibration through Airmar's Cast app, and advanced speed calibration supports multiple heel angles and speeds.
