The Furuno ARP11 is a 10-target auto plotter built to work with NavNet, NavNet vx2, and the FR8002 Radar series. It tracks both automatically and manually acquired radar targets, then calculates each target's course and speed, displaying the results as vectors. Plotting accuracy and response conform to IMO standards. For reliable performance, the radar should remain optimally tuned at all times — this prevents required targets from being lost and keeps unwanted returns such as sea clutter and noise from being acquired.

Specifications:

  • Compatible with NavNet, NavNet vx2, and FR8002 Radar series
  • Tracks up to 10 radar targets simultaneously
  • Supports both automatic and manual target acquisition
  • Calculates and displays course and speed of tracked targets via vectors
  • Plotting accuracy and response meet IMO standards
  • Tracking accuracy is affected by course changes — one to two minutes is needed to restore full vector accuracy after an abrupt course change (actual time depends on gyrocompass specifications)
  • Tracking delay is inversely proportional to target relative speed: approximately 15–30 seconds for high relative speed and 30–60 seconds for low relative speed
