The Airmar R509C-LM delivers 3kW of CHIRP power through a thru-hull installation, covering 82 kHz of total bandwidth from a single transducer. Built with an epoxy housing and high-performance fairing, it places the transducer face in clean, bubble-free water below the hull boundary layer — enabling reliable tracking at speeds exceeding 30 knots. The integrated fast-response water-temperature sensor rounds out a capable package for serious offshore and deep-water fishing on larger vessels.

Features:

  • Depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor
  • Epoxy transducer housing with high-performance fairing
  • Suitable for hulls up to 25° deadrise
  • 82 kHz of total bandwidth from a single transducer
  • Fairing compensates for hull deadrise and reduces turbulence over the transducer face, allowing tracking at speeds over 30 knots (35 MPH)
  • When mounted forward of propellers and running gear, the thru-hull design produces maximum signal return with no onboard interference
  • Best suited for vessels 25 feet and up, where the transducer face sits in clean water below the boundary layer

Specifications:

  • Boat size: 12 m (40 ft.) and above
  • Hull type: Fiberglass, wood, or metal
