The Airmar P79 in-hull transducer mounts inside the hull without drilling holes, bonding a base directly to the hull and filling it with liquid — a design that transmits sound waves more efficiently than traditional puck-style transducers. A twist-lock mechanism secures the transducer element to the base, and the assembly accommodates hull deadrise angles from 2° to 22°, keeping the beam vertically oriented for accurate depth readings. Compatible with the Humminbird #9 7-pin plug, this unit suits solid fiberglass hulls and thinner aluminum hulls, and is well-matched to planing powerboats, trailered boats, rigid inflatables (RIBs), and racing sailboats up to 8 meters (25 feet).
Features:
- Adjusts to hull deadrise angles from 2° to 22°
- No holes required — no hull protrusions
- Depth reading only
- Recommended for solid fiberglass hulls
- Compatible with aluminum hulls under 3.8 mm (0.16") thick
- Suited for planing-hull powerboats, trailered boats, RIBs, and racing sailboats
- Boat size: up to 8 m (25 ft)
