The Airmar M285HW is a 1kW CHIRP in-hull transducer built for offshore fishing and freshwater applications where a clean, protruding-free hull is a priority. Operating across a high-frequency range of 150–250kHz with a fixed 25-degree wide beam, it delivers sharp target separation in shallow to medium-depth water down to 700 feet. The urethane housing mounts inside the hull, is filled with eco-friendly antifreeze, and adjusts for hull deadrise to ensure the beam fires straight down — keeping the exterior hull surface unobstructed. Suited for trailered or lifted boats up to 25 feet with solid-core fiberglass hulls. A Mix and Match cable is required and sold separately.
