The Airmar DX900+ Multilog Smart™ Electromagnetic Speed Sensor replaces paddlewheel technology with a no-moving-parts electromagnetic design that measures dual-axis speed through water and calculates leeway angle in real time. A 360° water-flow sensing field delivers transverse and longitudinal data with no latency, while corrosion-resistant alloy sensing pins provide stable, long-term readings. Wireless connectivity to Airmar's CAST™ app simplifies calibration and lets you display performance data on a phone or tablet. The low-profile thru-hull housing includes a water valve and retractable insert for safe removal, and the sensor also outputs heel, trim, and water temperature via NMEA 0183.

Specifications:

  • Electromagnetic dual-axis speed measurement with no moving parts
  • Measures transverse and longitudinal speed; instantaneously calculates leeway angle and speed through water with no latency
  • Wireless connectivity via Airmar CAST™ app for performance display and calibration
  • Outputs: heel, trim, speed, and water temperature
  • Sensing pins made from high-quality corrosion-resistant alloy — do not apply bottom paint to exposed sensing pins
  • Thru-hull, low-profile housing with water valve and retractable insert
  • Available housing options: Plastic (P717V) or Stainless Steel (SS617V)
  • Retrofits existing P617V housing
