The Airmar DT812PV-235-N2 is a low-profile, retractable thru-hull Smart Sensor operating at 235 kHz — a frequency that runs interference-free alongside onboard 50/200 kHz fishfinders. Embedded microelectronics place the transducer element and signal processor millimeters apart, so depth and temperature data are fully processed inside the sensor before traveling a single cable to any compatible NMEA 2000 display. The 12° fixed tilt aligns the beam straight down on hulls with 8°–15° deadrise, while the broadband urethane-faced ceramic delivers reliable readings from as shallow as 0.5 m (1.6') down to 180 m (594'). A retractable insert with a self-closing valve keeps water out of the vessel during removal for cleaning or service.
