The Airmar DT800 is a retractable thru-hull smart sensor combining depth and temperature measurement in one compact plastic housing. Its tilted-element design angles the ceramic element internally to compensate for hull deadrise — eliminating the need for a separate fairing block while maintaining a low-profile exterior. Built with Airmar's Broadband Ceramic Technology, the 235 kHz element delivers sharp resolution without compromising sensitivity, and the frequency is spaced to prevent interference with other echosounders aboard. An embedded microprocessor sits millimeters from the transducer element, and a self-closing valve in the retractable housing controls water ingress during servicing. This 20° fixed-tilt version is suited for hulls with 16°–24° deadrise and connects directly to an NMEA 2000 network via a 5-pin connector.
