The Airmar B744VL is a TRIDUCER® Multisensor that combines depth, speed, and fast-response water temperature into a single bronze thru-hull housing. Its dual-frequency ceramic element operates at 50 kHz for wide-coverage deep-water tracking and 200 kHz for sharp target detail in shallower water. The extended stem is engineered for steep-deadrise hulls or thick cored-fiberglass and wood construction, and the included High-performance Fairing supports reliable bottom tracking at speeds up to 30 knots. A self-closing water valve keeps water intake minimal when swapping the paddlewheel for the blanking plug, while side fins on the paddlewheel cavity improve accuracy in cross-flow conditions.
