The Airmar B285M is a single-band CHIRP thru-hull transducer operating across the medium frequency range of 85–135 kHz, delivering up to 1,500 feet of depth penetration with sharp target separation and bottom detail. A built-in high-performance fairing sustains broadband accuracy at speeds exceeding 30 knots, and the bronze housing suits fiberglass or wood hulls in both planing and displacement configurations. Single-channel sounder setups benefit from the ability to preset 85 kHz and 135 kHz for quick toggling between wide and narrow beam angles. Note: a Mix & Match cable is required and sold separately.
