The Airmar B117 is the industry benchmark for low-profile thru-hull transducers, combining a 50/200 kHz dual-frequency single ceramic element in a bronze housing that protrudes only 5mm (3/16") beyond the hull. The nearly-flush profile cuts drag while the right-angle cable exit keeps headroom low and shields the cable if the transducer is accidentally stepped on. A rubber washer is included to seal against irregular hull surfaces, and the housing meets ABYC H-27 compliance standards. Suited for vessels 25 feet and up, this unit delivers sharp target detail in shallow water at 200 kHz and reliable bottom tracking in deep water at 50 kHz.
