The Airmar B117 is a dual-frequency thru-hull transducer built around a single 50/200 kHz ceramic element housed in a low-profile bronze body. With just 5 mm (3/16") protruding below the hull, drag is kept to a minimum — a practical choice for fiberglass or wood vessels up to 8 m (26') used in leisure, yachting, or fishing applications. The right-angle cable exit reduces clutter and adds protection if the unit is accidentally stepped on, while the included rubber washer helps seal against irregular hull surfaces.
