The Garmin MSC 10 Marine Satellite Compass delivers precise heading data by drawing on multi-band GNSS and multi-constellation satellite signals, bypassing the magnetic interference that can plague traditional compasses. A built-in AHRS keeps pitch, roll, and heave data flowing even in challenging sea states, while the 10 Hz update rate ensures your chartplotter stays current at any vessel speed. It connects directly into a Garmin marine ecosystem over NMEA 2000 and serves as a primary heading source for autopilots and other onboard systems.

Specifications:

  • Multi-band GNSS receiver: L1 and L5 GPS
  • Multi-constellation support: GPS, Galileo (supported when available), GLONASS, and BeiDou (supported when available)
  • Positioning accuracy: less than 1 meter CEP; less than 3 meters at 95%
  • Heading accuracy: within 2 degrees using multiple receivers
  • 10 Hz position and heading update rate
  • Built-in Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS)
  • Provides pitch, roll, and heave data in addition to heading
  • Satellite-based heading eliminates concern over magnetic interference
  • Backup magnetometer-based heading activates automatically if satellite signal is lost (magnetometer calibration required for backup magnetic heading support)
  • Compatible with NMEA 2000 networks
  • Delivers heading, pitch, roll, and heave directly to compatible Garmin chartplotters
  • Functions as primary heading sensor for autopilots and other onboard systems
  • Compact design for straightforward installation
  • Color: Black
