The Garmin gWind Wireless 2 Transducer brings a fully wire-free wind sensing setup to sailboat masts up to 50 feet tall. Nexus twin-fin technology combined with a 3-bladed propeller captures accurate wind angle and speed even in light-air conditions, while the built-in solar panel continuously tops off the internal NiMH battery — no external wiring required. Wind data streams wirelessly via ANT to a GNX Wind instrument or compatible GPSMAP 8400/8600 and 7400/7600 series chartplotters, and the system fits into standalone or full NMEA 2000 network builds through separately available wind and sail packs.
