The Garmin GMI™ Wired Start Pack 52 gives sailors and powerboaters a complete, scalable onboard instrument network in a single bundle. It combines the GMI 20 marine instrument display with the gWind™ transducer and AIRMAR® DST810 thru-hull smart transducer, putting real-time wind, depth, water speed, and temperature on a plug-and-play NMEA 2000® backbone that's ready to grow as your system expands.

The GMI 20 centers on a 4" glass-bonded color display with an anti-glare finish and 170-degree viewing angle, with extra-large digits that stay readable from across the cockpit. Three night-visibility color schemes — red/black, green/black, and standard night mode — plus a dimmer control keep the display usable after dark. Auto-scroll cycles through data pages hands-free, a genuine advantage when instruments are mounted in multiple locations. More than 100 marine and vessel parameters are supported, and built-in profiles for powerboat, sailboat, fishing, and engine/fuel use are fully customizable. The GMI 20 draws power directly from the NMEA 2000 network, keeping wiring straightforward.

The gWind transducer uses a twin-fin housing with a 3-bladed propeller and optical reading technology to deliver stable True Wind Angle (TWA) and accurate True Wind Speed (TWS) in both light air and heavy conditions — performance advantages the propeller design holds over cup-style sensors across the full wind-speed range.

The AIRMAR DST810 thru-hull smart transducer handles depth to 330 feet, outputs water speed at 5 Hz, and operates at 235 kHz through a 10 × 44-degree fan-shaped beam. It also feeds heel/trim and pitch/roll attitude data to the NMEA 2000 network. Bluetooth® connectivity lets you calibrate the DST810 wirelessly through the AIRMAR CAST™ app, with advanced calibration available across multiple heel angles and speeds.
