A single rotary/push knob manages volume, squelch, and channel selection, and a dedicated button jumps instantly to channels 16 and 9. Soft keys and a backlit 2" dot matrix display mirror the main radio's layout, while the coiled cable flexes from 1 foot to nearly 5 feet to suit a range of mounting positions. The integrated speaker mic also supports intercom use when paired with an external speaker.
