The Garmin Autopilot Check Valve Kit works with the 1.2L and 2.0L autopilot pumps to isolate the pump from the steering system whenever the autopilot is disengaged. The check valves prevent slow hydraulic pressure leak-down through the pump while it is not in use. Note: vessels equipped with properly adjusted rudder trim tabs — whether outboard or rudder style — do not require this kit.
