The Garmin Autopilot Check Valve Kit is designed for use with Garmin's 1.2L and 2.0L autopilot pumps, isolating the pump from the hydraulic steering system each time the autopilot is disengaged. This prevents slow pressure leak-down that can occur when the pump sits idle, helping maintain steering responsiveness and system integrity. Boats already equipped with properly adjusted rudder or outboard trim tabs do not need this kit.
Specifications:
- Compatible with Garmin 1.2L and 2.0L autopilot pumps
- Isolates the pump from the steering circuit whenever the autopilot is inactive
- Prevents slow hydraulic pressure leak-down through a disengaged pump
- Not required on vessels with properly adjusted rudder-style or outboard trim tabs
