The Garmin AIS 800 is a Class B/SO blackbox transceiver that simultaneously broadcasts your vessel's position to surrounding AIS-equipped traffic and pulls in their target data, building a fuller picture of everything moving around you. With an internal VHF antenna splitter and built-in GPS, it folds into an existing installation without requiring additional antenna runs or a dedicated display — clean wiring, small footprint, genuine situational awareness.
