The Furuno PM265LH is a bronze CHIRP transducer designed for pocket or keel-mount installations, featuring a flat-faced profile that integrates cleanly into the hull. It covers both low and high CHIRP frequency bands and includes a built-in temperature sensor, connecting via a 12-pin connector to compatible Furuno CHIRP broadband fishfinders. Unlike conventional fishfinders that transmit at fixed discrete frequencies, CHIRP technology sweeps through a broad range of frequencies within a single long-duration pulse, delivering up to 1,000 times more sound energy than traditional narrowband sonar. Paired with Furuno's digital signal processing, the result is significantly sharper fish arch separation and bottom definition.
