The Furuno 556TID-LTD/12 is a stainless steel thru-hull transducer built around an Airmar SS164 housing style with a 12-degree tilted element. Designed for vessels with a deadrise angle between 8° and 15°, the tilted internal element compensates for hull angle so the sonar signal fires true. An arrow molded into the top of the housing must point toward the keel during installation — whether mounted to port or starboard — ensuring the element is oriented correctly for accurate depth readings. The 1 kW output supports both 50 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies with a 10-pin connector.
