The Airmar MM-8G is an 8-meter brand-specific adapter cable designed for use with 600W Non-CHIRP Mix & Match transducers. The Mix & Match system splits the installation into two parts: a short 2-meter pigtail permanently attached to the transducer, and this longer adapter cable that bridges the transducer to your specific electronics brand. The pigtail terminates in an Airmar 5-pin female connector; the MM-8G provides the matching 5-pin male connector on one end and the appropriate brand connector on the other. If you switch electronics brands down the road, the transducer stays in place — only the adapter cable needs to be swapped out.
