The Airmar H2183-10 is a solid-state heading sensor built for demanding marine environments where accuracy under motion matters. A three-axis compass, three-axis accelerometer, and three-axis rate gyro work together to deliver better than 1° accuracy in static conditions and 2° accuracy while the vessel pitches and rolls up to 30° — making it well-suited for integration with autopilots, chart plotters, and radar systems. Its circular housing mounts on any angled bulkhead, and a single cable connects simultaneously to both NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 networks.

Specifications:

  • Better than 1° heading accuracy in static conditions
  • 2° heading accuracy in dynamic conditions (pitch and roll up to 30°)
  • Three-axis solid-state compass for heading data
  • Three-axis accelerometer for pitch and roll data
  • Three-axis rate gyro for rate-of-turn data
  • Only recreational heading sensor utilizing a three-axis rate gyro
  • Default 10 Hz update rate for heading (HDG)
  • Simultaneous NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 output via single cable
  • Compatible with autopilots, chart plotters, and radar systems
  • Circular design mounts on any angled bulkhead
  • IPX6 waterproof enclosure
  • Compass calibration performed from any compatible display or PC
