The Airmar B75 High 12 Degree Thru-Hull Tilted Element brings CHIRP/Broadband technology to a low-profile bronze housing, delivering the same elements and performance as the B765LH/LM. Operating across two wide frequency bands — 25–60 kHz and 130–210 kHz — this transducer moves well beyond the traditional 50 kHz and 200 kHz single-frequency approach. CHIRP's long swept pulses allow the sonar to extract echoes from background noise with exceptional range accuracy, separating closely spaced fish, resolving targets near the bottom, and maintaining bottom tracking at higher boat speeds.

CHIRP Advantages:

  • Greater range through the use of very long transmission pulses
  • Superior target resolution achieved by sweeping the pulse across a frequency band (e.g., 40–60 kHz)
  • Precise target location within inches using pattern-matching techniques
  • Closely spaced fish and bottom-hugging fish displayed as distinct, separate targets
  • Weak echoes resolved within noise, enabling detection at greater depths and bottom tracking at higher speeds
