The ACR OLAS Float-On Light is a buoyant, water-activated strobe and LED flashlight designed as a compact smart crew overboard system. Integrated water sensors trigger the strobe automatically after 6 seconds of water contact, delivering a high-power flash once per second for up to 20 hours and visible up to 3 nautical miles. Paired with the free ACR OLAS mobile app, the Float-On monitors a Bluetooth virtual tether and sounds an audible alarm within 8 seconds of a lost connection — simultaneously logging the GPS coordinates of the incident on your phone or tablet. The app then guides the crew directly to the MOB location with bearing data and visual cues. A single phone or tablet can monitor up to 6 OLAS transmitters, while an unlimited number of devices can track each individual unit. For larger crews, the system scales to 15 transmitters with the addition of an OLAS CORE Base Station or OLAS GUARDIAN System. All location data and incident timestamps are stored for rescue services.
