Shallow water anchors — also called power poles, stake-out poles and spike anchors — let a boat hold position over grass flats, sandbars, shell beds and shallow structure without dropping traditional ground tackle. Minn Kota offers electric stake-out systems that deploy and retract at the push of a button, keeping a skiff, jon boat or aluminum bay boat locked on a spot while anglers work the edges.

These anchoring systems are built for the quick repositioning that inshore, flats and bass fishing demand — drop on a school, anchor, fish, retract and move without resetting conventional anchor and chain. Shallow water anchors mount to the transom or jack plate and leave deck space and rod holders clear for fishing.
